Our nature studies celebrate childhood, curiosity and encourage a love of nature while teaching age appropriate, cross-curricular skills.
Dragonfly Nature Programs LLC provides in-school nature studies designed for young people, ages 2-12. We specialize in small group lessons that are designed to support each unique developmental stage.
While most of our clients host our nature studies monthly, some select just a few each year. It's your choice! Because we serve such a wide range of schools, and a variety of age groups, pricing is variable.

Summer 2025
with Dragonfly Nature Programs
We support the fun, play and learning at area camps and education centers all summer long.
Book us for 1 or all 3 of our programs running June-August 2025.

In this interactive nature study, young people will perform sensory experiments to better understand the invaluable senses sharks rely on for survival! In doing so, we will develop empathy and appreciation for this important apex predator of our oceans.

Beaches aren’t just vacation hotspots. They are also a living habitat, home to many plants and animals, uniquely adapted to survive under the influence of wind, wave action and the hot summer sun. This nature study is a close look at the beach as a natural environment.

Take a break from the hot summer sun and lets bask in the starlight! This is a nature study that introduces young people to the moon and stars of the Northern Hemisphere’s summer sky. We’ll lead children through stories, songs and the construction of constellations.
The 2024-25 school year has been a blast!

On March 20, 2025, the northern and southern hemispheres will get an equal amount of daylight hours due to the position of Earth on its axis and in its revolution around the sun. During our “Equinox” nature study, students will explore Earth in space, our sun and will welcome in the spring season.

North Carolina is home to so much fascinating wildlife! From our mountains to our coast the diversity of habitats results in a rich biodiversity of life which we will explore in this month’s nature study.

Students will learn how their own sense of hearing works before investigating the sounds of the summer here in NC. From frog calls to bird songs, pitchy cicadas and the buzzing of bees, this program is a sound bath of biodiversity.

Pricing
Dragonfly Nature Programs LLC serves a variety of schools & age groups. As such, prices vary. Our goal is to introduce the natural world to all students at an affordable price.
Prices vary by age groups and by number of students.
Payments are accepted at the time of service but clients have 14 days to fulfill an invoice.
Payments can be made by check or credit card (a 3% convenience fee is charged for credit card transactions only)

Dragonfly Nature Programs is a for-profit business however we NEVER want affordability to limit our reach. If you know of a school who would benefit from our services but cannot afford full price programming, have them call Rachel @ 919-274-3750. Accommodations can be made.
